Is a man who chooses the bad perhaps in some ways better than a man who has the good imposed upon him?

I hate all these blogs where we have to chose something to review. I never know what I want to write about.

Well, this past summer I read a lot. I just get the strong urge to read sometimes. One of my favorite books is A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.

It’s absolutely fascinating. I love the theme of choice and morality. Is one truly good if it is not by their own will? I think I just have a thing for books about free will and totalitarian governments (I like 1984 a lot too).

The only problem I could see someone having is that the book isn’t in English. It’s written in a type of Russian slang mixed with Cockney English called nadsat. However, if you’re patient, you begin to understand the language without even realizing it. Oh and I guess it is kind of dark. He does some nasty things in the beginning. It didn’t ruin the book for me, so you should be fine.
